India is making waves in the tech world with its initiative, ‘Bharat Innovates 2026.’ Recently, a roadshow in Paris showcased this deep-tech startup program to potential investors and stakeholders. The event was designed to raise interest ahead of the upcoming conclave in Nice.
The roadshow highlighted India’s vibrant startup scene and its emphasis on innovation through higher education. Many attendees included key figures from the Ministry of Education, the Indian Embassy in Paris, and the Confederation of Indian Industry. Over 50 representatives from French businesses also participated, highlighting the importance of global collaboration.
Industry leaders participated from notable organizations like La French Tech and various universities. They engaged in discussions about investment opportunities and the scope of Bharat Innovates 2026. K.M. Praphullachandra Sharma, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education, emphasized how this initiative strengthens ties between India and France.
Govind Jaiswal, another Joint Secretary, presented how foreign investors can tap into India’s rapidly growing innovation landscape. Bharat Innovates 2026 will target 13 key technology areas, such as advanced computing and biotechnology, aiming to foster significant advancements in these sectors.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this initiative on February 17 during the India-France Year of Innovation, announcing plans for 120 of India’s leading deep-tech startups to visit France. This collaboration aims to facilitate pilots, investments, and research partnerships.
The event in Nice, scheduled for June 14-16, promises to be a crucial junction for building the future of technology and innovation.
