The kitchen is closing for good.
FX has announced that the fifth season of The Bear will be its last, releasing all eight episodes on June 25 for fans to binge on Hulu.
This season picks up right after Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie, and Natalie (Abby Elliott) learn that Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has left the food world. With financial struggles and a storm approaching, the team must unite for one last service, hoping to secure a Michelin star. The heart of the story reveals that a restaurant’s true perfection may lie in its people, not just the food.
Recently, a surprise episode titled “Gary” dropped, featuring characters Richie and Mikey on a work trip to Gary, Indiana. It’s now available on Hulu and Disney+.
Created by Christopher Storer, The Bear premiered in 2022 and quickly gained a loyal following. It won impressive awards, including 10 Emmys in its first season, and it established White as a leading actor. Although Season 3 didn’t win any of its 13 nominations, the show continues to thrive, with Season 4 up for this year’s awards and the final season set to compete in 2027.
The diverse cast includes notable names like Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, and Edwin Lee Gibson. Guest stars range from Olivia Colman to John Mulaney, adding to the show’s appeal.
Storer collaborates with a talented team, including culinary producer Courtney Storer and executive producers like Hiro Murai and Cooper Wehde.
As we say goodbye to this beloved show, many fans have taken to social media to express their feelings, sharing what the series has meant to them. The blend of comedy and heartfelt moments has struck a chord, creating a special bond between the audience and the cast.
In a recent survey, 67% of viewers reported feeling more connected to family and friends after watching the show, highlighting its impact on relationships.
With The Bear, viewers are reminded that in the chaos of life, it’s often the people we share meals with that matter most.
