Content creator JustGarrison shared his findings on YouTube. His video walks viewers through the steps to access the rifle during free roam gameplay. It’s important to note that he didn’t use any mods or special tools; this access is possible on any version of Bully.
The rifle itself is typically only available in a shooting range mini-game. Surprisingly, it does damage to NPCs, implying it was programmed that way. This raises questions about whether Rockstar intended for players to use the weapon freely but later decided against it. The game’s odd animations and the ability to fire during cutscenes hint that the rifle might have been unfinished or removed before launch.
Rockstar may have had good reasons for limiting the rifle’s use. Since Bully came out in 2006, just after the “Hot Coffee” controversy in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the company was under intense scrutiny. Introducing a weapon that can be fired in a school setting could invite serious media backlash.
