The Marist men’s track and field team recently finished the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. They placed seventh overall with a total of 58 points, showcasing impressive performances across multiple events.
One of the standout moments came from Amari Mathis, who sprinted to victory in the 100-meter dash, breaking both the meet and school records with a time of 10.29 seconds. He also shone in the 200-meter dash, where he secured second place with a time of 20.80 seconds, smashing the previous meet record of 20.97 set in 2022.
Another highlight was Logan Schaeffler, who won the conference title in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a record time of 8:59.64, marking a remarkable achievement for the team.
Ryan Trocolar also made headlines by setting a school record in the 400-meter dash, finishing sixth with a time of 48.01. Emmanuel Harris broke the 400-meter hurdles record during the preliminaries, clocking in at 52.85 seconds, and Miranda Okoli earned a podium finish in that event, taking third place in 1:02.68.
In distance events, Miles Chamberlain and Justin Schwartz finished strong, taking sixth in the 1,500-meter and 5,000-meter races, respectively.
