Panettiere recalled a night on a boat where a trusted friend led her into a disturbing situation. At first, she thought it was just a fun outing. But soon, she found herself in a small room next to a famous man who was undressed. This shocking twist made her realize she was in danger. Reflecting on her age, she remarked that although she felt mature, her brain was still developing. Experts note that the human brain doesn’t fully mature until around 25, which shapes decision-making abilities.
Feeling betrayed by someone she trusted was especially painful for her. “It’s awful to be betrayed by someone you thought had your back,” she said.
Her instinct kicked in, and she went into survival mode. “I became ferocious,” she shared, desperate to escape the unsettling situation. “There was no jumping off and swimming away.”
