ARC Raiders has evolved in ways we never expected since we launched. Every day, we’re inspired by how you shape the world of the Rust Belt. This brings us to some important changes in how we’ll update the game.
Initially, we aimed to roll out monthly updates. Our goal was to keep you engaged and make sure the game felt fresh. However, as we saw players dive deeper into the experience, we realized we need more substantial updates to truly evolve ARC Raiders.
Monthly updates can limit our creativity and impact. We’ve decided it’s better to release major updates twice a year. This shift will allow us to create larger, more meaningful changes that genuinely enhance gameplay. No need to worry, though—our live service team will still handle daily operations, including regular updates, bug fixes, and player events. This new approach will also help us focus on key aspects like game balance, fair play, and anti-cheat measures, which are crucial for a competitive environment.
Our next big update, called Frozen Trail, is set for release in October. It promises to be our most ambitious yet, addressing many community questions. Here’s what you can look forward to:
- A New Frontier: Discover a vast landscape in the Rust Belt, featuring an intricate design and new mysteries.
- New Challenges: Face off against fresh ARC enemies with unique designs and behaviors.
- Progression Systems: We’re introducing new goals to deepen the player experience.
- Uncovering Origins: Begin to learn more about ARC and its origins.
- Enhanced Skill Tree: Improvements to how you develop your character.
- New Items: Look forward to new weapons, cosmetics, and more.
We’re committed to refining existing systems, making your long-term play more meaningful and rewarding. Frozen Trail is just the start of our journey.
Next week, we’re introducing a new Trader designed for late-game players. Many of you have shared concerns about having high-value items and limited options for trading or storage. This Trader, accessible at level 25, will offer unique rewards in exchange for your valuable items. Furthermore, he’ll provide extra Stash space and a new expedition feature that allows you to carry over items.
Since the game’s launch, we’ve learned how critical progression is. Players want reasons to return to the Rust Belt, and we’re focused on creating systems that grow with the game. This way, we can take our time to refine what you engage with most. Expect improvements in trials and more reward-focused expeditions as we continue developing ARC Raiders.
Our plans extend well beyond what you’ve seen. We envision ARC Raiders as an ever-expanding experience. This new biannual update schedule will allow us to work on all elements—from gameplay and narrative to the world itself—ensuring they progress in harmony.
As you face the escalating ARC threat, remember that the ultimate goal is to reclaim the surface. Frozen Trail will move us closer to this mission and highlight the challenges ahead. We want your efforts to feel impactful, and this is just the beginning.
