Oklahoma Softball Shines in Regional Opener
On May 15, No. 3 Oklahoma Softball delivered an impressive performance, winning 11-0 against Binghamton in the first game of the Norman Regional. This game showcased both offensive power and strong pitching.
The Sooners scored in every inning, highlighted by four home runs. Pitcher Audrey Lowry started strong, striking out the side in the first inning.
Key Moments:
- In the first inning, Kai Minor kicked things off with a double. Ella Parker followed with a walk, and Gabbie Garcia brought Minor home with a slick single. Isabela Emerling’s sacrifice fly scored another run, and Kasidi Pickering wrapped up the inning with a towering home run to left-center.
- Minor and Parker hit back-to-back homers in the second inning, while Ailana Agbayani’s single brought in two more runs, pushing the score to 9-0 through three innings.
- Kendall Wells capped off the scoring with a mighty 289-foot home run to center field.
On the defensive side, Lowry, Berkeley Zache, and Allyssa Parker combined to deliver a two-hit shutout. Zache earned the win, while Binghamton’s Olivia Kennedy took the loss.
