Police chief Beom-seok (Hwang Jung-min) arrives at the scene. He has a tense chat with local hunters, who speculate about a tiger while he reminds them about the legality of their firearms. There’s a turning point when Beom-seok removes his sunglasses to take a closer look at the animal’s remains, signaling a shift in his character from detached officer to determined warrior. Beom-seok teams up with rookie cop Sung-ae, played by rising star Jung Ho-yeon from “Squid Game,” and a local man named Sung-ki (Zo In-sung). In one wild scene, Sung-ki has to hang out of a speeding car to shoot the creature while Sung-ae discovers her feelings for him.
