Hello Subnauts,
Thanks for your feedback since launch. We’ve been reading your comments and want to address some key concerns directly.
We understand that the balance of creatures in the game needs improvement. Right now, facing predators can feel frustrating rather than exciting. The tools available to you for dealing with these threats aren’t always clear or effective. We want you to feel confident and engaged when encountering creatures, and we’re committed to making this better.
We’re working on adjusting creature behavior, including how aggressive they are and their interaction with players and vehicles. Expect changes in upcoming patches that will improve your experience.
Many of you have asked for options to fight back against hostile creatures. We understand that when avoidance techniques aren’t working, the desire for combat becomes strong. However, Subnautica is designed around exploration and survival, not traditional combat. We want encounters to feel fair, so we’re focused on making those adjustments first.
We also want to clarify what Early Access means for us. It’s a partnership with the community, not just about fixing bugs. While we can’t implement every suggestion, we deeply value your input and will strive to show that through our actions.
Expect a series of improvements in the coming weeks. We appreciate your honesty and passion for the game, and we’re dedicated to working together to make Subnautica 2 an unforgettable experience.
Thanks for being part of our journey.
