With over nine million customers globally and three million in the U.S., Starlink provides internet that isn’t restricted by location, making it a game-changer for rural areas. Additionally, about 2,000 smaller wireless internet service providers (WISPs) service nearly nine million rural customers, further diversifying the broadband options.

Today, high-speed internet isn’t limited to cable and fiber. With more options available, consumers can enjoy competitive rates and greater access. Many of these alternatives are also easy to set up—often requiring no waiting for installers.
