Discover Groundbreaking Early Detection Insights: ClearNote Health to Showcase Avantect® Pancreatic Cancer Test Data at the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting

ClearNote Health is making waves in cancer detection. They recently announced that they will share impressive new data for their Avantect® Pancreatic Cancer Test at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting in Chicago, happening from May 29 to June 2.

Dr. Jeffrey Venstrom, the new Chief Medical Officer of ClearNote Health, highlighted the urgency of early detection for pancreatic cancer, calling it one of the deadliest malignancies because it’s often diagnosed too late. He said the validation data they plan to share at ASCO shows the Avantect test performing strongly among high-risk individuals.

This test focuses on patients with known risk factors, such as type 2 diabetes or family history of pancreatic cancer. In a study with 1,445 participants, the test showed an overall sensitivity of 82.6%, meaning it accurately identified the disease in a large majority of cases, including 76.8% for early-stage (Stage I–II) detection. Dr. Samuel Levy, the Chief Scientific Officer, explained that the test uses multiple biological signals to enhance its accuracy.

One significant aspect of the Avantect test is its incorporation into groundbreaking studies, including the NHS-led SAFE-D study in the UK, which focuses on individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. This study is one of the largest efforts for evaluating pancreatic cancer detection in this high-risk group.

According to the American Cancer Society, the survival rate for pancreatic cancer is just 10% after five years, mainly due to late diagnosis. Recent statistics show a growing interest in early detection technologies, with funding for cancer diagnostics increasing significantly.

In the digital world, social media is buzzing with hope around advancements in cancer detection. Many users express optimism at the prospect of earlier diagnosis, sharing personal stories and encouraging others to prioritize screenings.

ClearNote Health’s focus on early-stage detection is changing the landscape of cancer care. They aim to offer better tools for patients and healthcare providers, ultimately striving to catch cancers earlier when treatment options are most effective.
