In the Indy 500, she had a solid qualifying performance but her race ended prematurely after just 17 laps. A crash caused by Ryan Hunter-Reay forced her to collide with the inside wall, resulting in a 33rd-place finish.
Following the Indy 500, Legge quickly headed to Charlotte Motor Speedway. Driving the No. 78 Chevrolet for Live Fast Motorsports, she navigated through most of the Coca-Cola 600 without major issues. Unfortunately, a mechanical failure in Stage 3 caused her right front wheel to disconnect. Despite this setback, she persevered and finished the race 12 laps down, placing 31st. In total, she completed 361 laps, covering 585 miles across both races, while aiming for 1,100 miles.
Legge didn’t hide her exhaustion after such a demanding day. “The highlight for me will be when I can finally lay down tonight, because I’m so tired,” she joked in an interview. She expressed optimism, focusing on what she could learn from her experiences.
