Five athletes from Boston University’s track and field team are gearing up for the NCAA East First Rounds at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. The event takes place from May 27 to May 30 and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

  • Peace Omonzane: Competing in both the long and triple jumps. This is her third consecutive NCAA East First Rounds. She’s ranked 15th in the region for long jump with a distance of 6.35m, and 21st in triple jump with 13.09m.

  • Ellie Roan: Also making her third appearance. Last year, she placed 17th with a throw of 60.59m. Currently, she ranks 14th in the region after achieving 62.52m this season.

  • Owen Faulha: This will be his second time at the East First Rounds. He finished 39th last year, throwing 60.51m. This time, he’s ranked 48th with a throw of 64.54m.

  • Freddy Collins: Competing in the 5000m for the third straight year, he recorded a time of 13:40.21 at the Penn Relays and currently ranks 31st in the region.

  • Adrienne Buettner-Cable: Making her debut at the East First Rounds after clocking a time of 33:57.51 in the 10000m. She’s currently ranked 56th in the NCAA East Region.
