Tragic Loss: Beloved Sports Reporter Passes Away While Covering Super Bowl in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – A tragic event struck the sports community this week as Adan Manzano, a 27-year-old sports reporter, lost his life while covering the Super Bowl in New Orleans.

Manzano worked for Telemundo KC and was known as a dedicated professional in his field. His team expressed deep sorrow over his passing, highlighting his passion for sports and the positive impact he made in the community. Steve Downing, the general manager of Telemundo Kansas City, shared their heartfelt condolences with Manzano’s family.

Authorities reported that Manzano was found dead in his hotel room. The media outlet is working closely with law enforcement to find out more details about what happened.

Originally from Mexico City but based in Topeka, Kansas, Manzano earned his degree from Kansas State University. He had recently joined the Chiefs TV crew as a sideline reporter.

Since the announcement of his death, many colleagues and friends in the media have shared their condolences and praised his contributions both on and off the field.

Manzano’s personal life was marked by tragedy as well. His wife, an elementary school teacher, passed away in a car accident last year. The couple leaves behind a young child.

As of now, further information has not been released. The coroner’s office has announced that an autopsy is pending.
