However, he took a more reserved approach after practice and didn’t share much about his adjustments with his throwing coach. When asked about Murray’s signing, he described it as an “organizational decision” that was out of his hands.
Their relationship seems different as well. While McCarthy maintained a casual distance, Murray praised him, calling him “overly receptive” and eager to learn.
