Tony Shalhoub is making waves again! The Emmy-winning actor will join the cast of the new CBS show “Einstein.” His character, Jack Einstein, is the father of Lewis Einstein, played by Matthew Gray Gubler.
Lewis, who is a brilliant yet aimless great-grandson of Einstein, leads quite the chaotic life as a professor. His hijinks often land him in trouble, forcing him to help a local detective solve tricky cases.
Joining Shalhoub in this show is Melissa Fumero from “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” as the detective, Teri. Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, known for her role in “Lovecraft Country,” will play Capt. Frost.
This role brings Shalhoub back together with “Einstein’s” executive producers, Andy Breckman and Randy Zisk. The three previously collaborated on “Monk,” where Shalhoub earned three Emmys for his role as the quirky detective Adrian Monk. He also picked up an Emmy for his role in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
