The situation is further complicated by recurring conflicts involving Hezbollah in Lebanon and ongoing accusations of violations of ceasefires. A recent conflict, which reignited in April, has added layers of tension to the region. As Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remarked, the recapture of strategic locations like the medieval castle of Beaufort represents a significant shift in the power dynamics.
