Exciting Staff Promotions Announced at Belmont University: Meet the New Leaders Driving Change!

Belmont University Athletics recently announced some exciting staff promotions. Brie Ashauer and Catherine Mitts are now associate athletic trainers, while Jared Brown has stepped up to assistant director of sports performance.

These roles come with important responsibilities. Ashauer, who joined Belmont in spring 2021, has been vital in caring for student-athletes. She’s the main athletic trainer for softball and cross country, playing a key role in the success of Belmont’s NCAA Tournament-bound softball team and supporting standout pitcher Maya Johnson.

Mitts has taken on a leadership role in her four years at Belmont. She manages care for the women’s soccer and track and field teams. Under her guidance, 13 athletes from the women’s track and field team qualified for NCAA postseason events.

Jared Brown, who became part of the Belmont team in fall 2025, is ready to take on more responsibilities in sports coverage and department leadership. With a background from Penn State and experience at other universities like Tennessee State and UAB, Brown brings valuable expertise to his new role.

These promotions not only highlight the achievements of Ashauer, Mitts, and Brown, but they also reflect Belmont’s commitment to fostering a supportive and successful athletic environment. Celebrating such progress can inspire student-athletes to pursue excellence, knowing they have dedicated professionals on their side.
