Kyro Capital launches Rs 100 crore pre-IPO private equity fund
Kyro Capital Private Limited has introduced Kyro India Opportunities Fund – I, a SEBI-registered Category II Alternative Investment Fund with a target corpus of Rs 100 crore. The fund will focus on profitable, growth-stage Indian companies that have a clear pathway to an initial public offering over the next 24 to 36 months.
The fund is sponsored by Kyro Capital and will be managed by Kyro Asset Management Private Limited. According to the company, the strategy targets a 35% internal rate of return through disciplined pre-IPO primary investments.
The India Opportunities platform is designed to identify companies that are already profitable and scaling toward public markets. The fund will focus on sectors including energy and power, advanced manufacturing, aerospace and defence supply chains, consumer products and FMCG.
Fund details shared by the company include a five-year tenure with a possible two-year extension, a first-close target of July 2026, a 10% annual hurdle rate and sponsor commitment of Rs 2.5 crore.
Kyro Capital founder and managing director Aman Maheshwari said, “I have sat across the table in the boardrooms of global banks. I have seen how capital is deployed at the highest levels. My belief – then and now – is that the most compelling opportunity in the world today is right here in India, and specifically in the companies that are growing quietly, profitably, in sectors that are building the future of this nation. I wanted to bring the institutional rigour of a Goldman Sachs to the growth companies of India, and I wanted to do it from Indore.”
Kyro Capital is an Indore-headquartered investment banking and transaction advisory firm. Kyro Asset Management Private Limited is its dedicated asset management affiliate and the investment manager of Kyro India Opportunities Fund – I.
