Björn Lindström, a researcher involved in the study, emphasizes, “Semantic knowledge is our cognitive toolbox. It helps us understand what things can work together.” In a world where we share knowledge through social media and collaboration, this understanding becomes crucial.

Interestingly, when groups combined both semantic knowledge and social learning, they produced about twice as many unique innovations as those relying solely on social learning. This suggests that sharing ideas amplifies creative output, refining concepts across generations.
