Markets in cities such as Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei, Manila, Mumbai, Bangkok, and Jakarta enjoyed boosts as well. However, losses were noted in Tokyo, Sydney, and Wellington. European markets opened higher, with London, Paris, and Frankfurt seeing increases.
