The Los Alamos Local Business Coalition (LALBC) is excited to share that it will be hosting a series of forums aimed at improving our local business scene. Everyone in the community is welcome to join! The first forum kicks off on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the SALA Event Center. If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry – there will be a Zoom option available.
These forums are a great opportunity to gather insights from various players in our local business community. We want to hear about the challenges businesses face and brainstorm solutions to boost economic growth in Los Alamos.
For our first meeting, local representatives from organizations like the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation (LACDC), the County’s Community Development Department, and the UNM-LA Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will share their views. Each will give a brief presentation (5-8 minutes) on how they support local businesses and their observations on the challenges faced. Afterward, there will be a public Q&A session where attendees can discuss and ask questions.
We’re also inviting the newly appointed County Councilor liaisons who focus on business matters. This forum will provide valuable insights into the current state of business in our area and identify opportunities for collaborative efforts.

Additionally, we want to spotlight local businesses during each forum. If you’re a business owner interested in sharing your experiences or insights, please reach out to our Steering Team at coalition@losalamos.com. We’re looking for presentations of about 5 minutes covering:
- Ideas for helping your business grow
- A success story that inspires you
- Any challenges or barriers you’re currently facing
