Exciting News: Former Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval Joins the Board of Resorts World Las Vegas!

Brian Sandoval, former governor of Nevada, has joined the board of Resorts World Las Vegas. The announcement was made in a press release on Monday.

CEO Alex Dixon expressed excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Governor Sandoval to our Board of Directors. His leadership and experience in both government and the gaming industry make him a great addition to our team.”

Sandoval, a Republican, served as Nevada’s 30th governor from 2011 to 2019. Currently, he is the president of the University of Nevada, Reno. He also has experience in gaming regulation, having previously chaired the Nevada Gaming Commission.

In his statement, Sandoval highlighted the resort’s commitment to hospitality. “I look forward to working with the team to drive success and innovation, ensuring unforgettable moments for all who visit,” he said.

His appointment comes as Resorts World Las Vegas is restructuring its leadership team. The property faced challenges recently, including a significant revenue drop last year and a pending complaint from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Alongside Sandoval, Dixon was recently appointed CEO, and industry veterans Jim Murren and A.G. Burnett are now part of the board. Murren emphasized the potential of Resorts World Las Vegas, stating the need for strong leaders to enhance the property’s success.
