**Trader Joe’s Valentine’s Treats Review**
Conversation Hearts
Rating: 3/5
Price: 99 cents
These hearts are a bit bigger than the usual ones and come with sweet messages, including one that says “TJ’S.” They taste more like real fruit but have that same chalky texture as classic conversation hearts. I love conversation hearts, so I was hoping for something special. Unfortunately, these didn’t quite hit the mark for me. There’s just something about that artificial fruit flavor that I miss.
Sprinkle Cake Bites
Rating: 5/5
Price: $3.99
These treats are a mix between cake pops and cookie dough. They’re not traditional in texture, more like balls of cake-flavored cookie dough topped with icing and sprinkles. If you enjoy cookie dough or cake batter-flavored desserts, you’ll likely be a fan. However, some of my friends found them too dense and overwhelming. I recommend cutting them in half for a more manageable bite, but I think they’re simply delicious!
For The Love Of Chocolate Mousse Cake
Rating: 4.5/5
Price: $5.49
This cake is a standout! It’s light and layered, with frosting and cake under a smooth chocolate shell. Not too sweet, it features a lovely design with green icing leaves and a pink heart made from milk chocolate. Share it with someone special; its heart shape makes it an ideal dessert for two, especially on date night. You won’t regret getting this one from Trader Joe’s!
Sugared Rice Cracker Hearts
Rating: 2/5
Price: $1.99
Unfortunately, these sugar-coated rice crackers fell flat. They tasted like plain Rice Krispies and didn’t deliver much sweetness, even with the sugar coating. They also left a strange aftertaste. On the plus side, the design of the bag is lovely, and they add a nice crunch. I might use these for decoration at my birthday party, but I wouldn’t repurchase them.
Overall, Trader Joe’s has some Valentine’s treats that are hit or miss. As much as I enjoyed the mousse cake and sprinkle bites, I’ll sometimes crave the classic flavors of Fun Dip or Smarties instead. Each of these treats carries its own charm, but it ultimately depends on personal taste!
