WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) recently hosted a career fair focused on marine technology. This event gave students a chance to meet professionals in the industry and discover various career options.

Students were encouraged to dress professionally and bring their resumes to make a good impression.
More than 20 employers from the marine technology world were present, eager to connect with potential candidates.
CFCC’s Marine Technology program serves high school students, returning learners, and current college students. It equips them for a range of roles in this booming field, focusing on practical training and essential skills.
Gina Mecca, the Director of Career Services at CFCC, highlighted the fair’s importance. She said, “Within the marine technology program, there is a wide diversity of careers available. We encourage our students to speak with everyone at these events and really discover where their passion lies within the industry.”
