Unmasking the 2025 Champion: Pufferfish Takes Home the Title on The Masked Singer!

The Pufferfish has won The Masked Singer 2025! The final episode revealed that the talented celebrity behind the elaborate costume was none other than Samantha Barks, known for her role in Les Miserables.

At 34 years old, Barks has had a remarkable career, including her recent performance as Elsa in the West End musical Frozen. After her big win, she shared her joy, saying, “I’ve had the best time. Underneath the mask I’ve been smiling so hard it’s hurting my cheeks. Thank you all so much for your lovely comments.”

The runner-up was the Dressed Crab, who turned out to be the Grammy-winning singer Gregory Porter. He called the show “just straight-up fun.” The first finalist revealed was Scottish singer Marti Pellow, previously the lead of the band Wet Wet Wet, who performed as the Wolf. He said the experience was incredible.

TV presenter Joel Dommett kicked off the finale with a lively performance of Blondie’s “One Way Or Another” before introducing the panel of judges: Jonathan Ross, Maya Jama, Davina McCall, and Danny Jones, who won the previous season as Piranha.

In the initial performances, the Wolf sang Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face,” and Pufferfish delivered a captivating rendition of Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time.” Panelist Danny Jones guessed that Pufferfish might be Perrie Edwards, while Ross speculated that it could be Nicole Scherzinger.

Dressed Crab wowed the audience with “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Bill Withers, which was described by Dommett as “beautiful.” The finalists also teamed up with previous contestants for some memorable duets. For instance, Claire Richards as Knitting paired with Pellow’s Wolf for “With You I’m Born Again,” while Barks sang “Total Eclipse of the Heart” with Danny Jones as Piranha.

Porter, still in his Dressed Crab costume, teamed up with Keala Settle (Airfryer) for a powerful rendition of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” For her final act, Barks performed “One Night Only” from the musical Dreamgirls, adding a perfect touch to an unforgettable night.
