Managing editor George Sandison secured world English-language rights from Naomi Davis at BookEnds Literary Agency, and the book is set to be released in summer 2026. Davis praised the novel as “moving, decisive, and unforgettable.”

Tavares expressed his excitement about working with Titan Books again, stating, “No one brings fierce, emotional, and genre-defying stories to life quite like Titan. I’m thrilled to collaborate with George Sandison, who inspires writers to take bold creative risks.”

The story centers on a group of friends who once served in the Spaceguard on the Moon. They now find joy on Earth, dancing through the lively Los Angeles disco scene. Their lives take a dramatic turn when an old friend returns, claiming to represent a utopian civilization. This visitor offers them the chance to have the power needed to protect their queer community from oppression.

Sandison highlighted Tavares’ exceptional talent, saying, “I doubt I will ever read anything as joyful, heartfelt, and profoundly human as Nathan Tavares’ novels. Each of his works bursts with life and love, wrapped in thrilling science fiction adventures.”
