A Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis had a scary incident landing at Toronto’s airport. Thankfully, all 80 passengers and crew are expected to be okay. The situation turned chaotic when the plane flipped over during its descent.
Two passengers shared their experiences. Pete Koukov, a 28-year-old skier from Colorado, was heading to Toronto for a ski movie. He described what felt like a regular landing at first. Suddenly, when the plane’s wheels touched the ground, it skidded and flipped onto its side. From his window seat, he saw flames as the plane crashed. “I unbuckled quickly and lowered myself to the floor,” he recalled. “People were panicking.” The plane ended up upside down, and Koukov even shared footage of the dramatic escape on Instagram.
Another passenger, Pete Carlson, a paramedic on his way to a conference, said things changed fast. He was waiting to see friends when the plane jolted unexpectedly. “One minute you’re landing, and the next, you’re upside down,” he explained. It was a terrifying moment for everyone on board.
While this incident was frightening, the quick response of the passengers helped everyone escape safely. It serves as a reminder of how quickly things can change in air travel and the importance of being prepared for emergencies.
