Join the Excitement: Arkansas Tech University Robotics Team Aims for 2025 World Championship!

The Arkansas Tech University robotics team is gearing up for the Texas VEX University Robotics Competition in Houston this weekend. Their goal? A spot in the 2025 VEX U Robotics World Championship, happening this May in Dallas.

Hunter Mathis, the team president, shared his excitement. “This year, our team is stronger than ever. We’ve welcomed several experienced new members. For the first time, we’ve had competition-ready robots by January!” He emphasized the importance of sponsorships, explaining that they help the team reach their full potential and achieve their goals without limits.

The current roster of the ATU robotics team includes talented members like Brady Bray, Preston Diehl, Jason Easterling, and many others, each bringing unique skills to the table. Last January, they made it to the semifinals at a VEX U competition in Auburn, Alabama, showcasing their hard work and dedication.

Last season, they progressed from the qualification stage to the elimination round at the world championship, finishing with a top-4 skills ranking globally. At the 2024 Houston qualifying tournament, the team even recorded the highest skills challenge score among all collegiate teams in the U.S. This weekend, they’re ready to build on that success and aim for the championship.
