Federal Employees Create Insider Hub to Share Exclusive Insights on DOGE Cryptocurrency

A group of about twelve current and former federal employees has launched a new website. This platform lets them share their stories and insights about the changes happening within the Department of Government Efficiency (DGE) as it dismantles certain government agencies.

Called “We the Builders,” the site is designed to be a safe space for federal workers. They can explain how DGE’s actions affect their work and highlight the real-world impacts of DGE’s access to government tech systems. One former worker told The Verge, “If DGE truly wanted to improve efficiency, they would consult us. Instead, they are tearing things down. We want to build up.”

The website also aims to keep the public informed about the inner workings of federal agencies. A former staffer emphasized the importance of understanding data privacy. “I want people to see how this affects their lives. If I can help you protect your data and advocate for yourself, then I’ve done my job,” they shared, asking for anonymity to avoid backlash.

While platforms like Reddit and Instagram have become popular for federal workers to connect, We the Builders provides a more secure alternative. The team is collaborating with a security consultant to keep all submissions anonymous and safe. They also plan to verify that submissions are genuine and come from real federal employees.

The goal of the site is to give visitors a deeper understanding of the situation. The former employee hopes that federal workers can find support by reading others’ experiences. “I want them to feel less alone and empowered to make their own choices,” they concluded.
