BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – White Squirrel Brewery is stepping up to help the community. They’re joining forces with Stirrin’ the Pot food truck to assist flood victims throughout Kentucky.
This partnership is calling on everyone to donate non-perishable food items. Think canned vegetables, soup, and pasta. All contributions will support the people in Hazard, Kentucky, who were hit hard by recent flooding. To add to the support, Stirrin’ the Pot will be serving hot meals to those in need.
John Baumgardner, the owner of Stirrin’ the Pot, sees himself as a helper. He believes in giving back and feels it’s crucial to pay it forward. He mentions, “I’m doing for others what I would want done for me.”
This food truck has already made a difference in the community before. They provided meals for the homeless and helped those affected by the Bowling Green tornado in 2021.
Sean Stevens, the co-owner of White Squirrel Brewery, admires Stirrin’ the Pot’s efforts, which is why he wanted to collaborate on this cause. He describes the brewery as “community driven” and calls it “Bowling Green’s living room.” He truly appreciates the passion the community shows for helping one another.
