Apple has unveiled the first beta of iOS 18.4. This update brings exciting features like new languages for Apple Intelligence, a dedicated food section for News+ subscribers, and an Apple Vision Pro app for iPhones. One of the highlights is the introduction of Ambient Music controls, integrated smoothly within the Control Center and Lock Screen, all thanks to Apple Music.
Easier Access to Apple Music Playlists
Last fall, Apple revamped the Control Center in iOS 18, allowing for more customization and functionality.
With the iOS 18.4 beta, you can now access four new options in the Ambient Music category:
- Chill
- Productivity
- Sleep
- Wellbeing
You can add these controls to your Control Center, use them with your iPhone’s Action Button, or swap them for the flashlight or camera icons on your Lock Screen.
Each control is tied to a specific Apple Music playlist, but feel free to customize them to suit your tastes.
For instance, the default for the Productivity control is the BEATstrumentals playlist. But you can change it to options like Binaural Frequencies or any playlist from your own library.
These new controls make it simple to start on-the-go playlists tailored to your mood, and they could become a favorite feature for many users.
