Nintendo has just announced that the game Super Formation Soccer will be taken off the Switch Online Super Famicom service in Japan. The same fate awaits its local version, Super Soccer, later this month.
According to the game’s official page, players will lose access to Super Soccer after March 27, 2025 (or March 28, based on your time zone). This game was released by Spike Chunsoft.
A message in the Switch Online service confirms:
Nintendo: “This game will no longer be available starting 3/27/25 at 6:00 p.m. PDT.”
There’s no update on whether Super Soccer will come back in the future. So if you haven’t played it yet, now might be a good time to give it a try.
