Maryville University is excited to welcome Scott Chadwick as the new dean of the John E. Simon School of Business, starting January 1, 2025. Scott has been the interim dean since January 2023 and also leads the university’s corporate partnerships and the MaryvilleWORKS division.
With over 20 years of experience in education, Scott has held various leadership roles. He was the associate vice president and director at Creighton University, academic affairs vice president at Canisius University, and provost at Xavier University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Iowa and both an MBA in Finance and a PhD in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas.
Scott expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m honored to be a part of the Maryville leadership team. I look forward to building on the university’s strong foundation and working with the faculty and staff to enhance our programs for students.”
Dr. Lombardi, the president of Maryville University, has praised Scott for his commitment to helping students succeed and his innovative approach in education. “His passion and dedication are essential for a great academic leader,” Dr. Lombardi added.
