Netflix has officially canceled its spy comedy-drama, “The Recruit,” after two seasons. This news comes straight from Variety.

Colton Dunn, who played Lester Kitchens, a former CIA operative, shared the news on Threads. He expressed his disappointment, saying, “The Recruit has been cancelled y’all. Such a bummer. I’ll share some pics and fun memories on IG but just wanted you to hear it from me. Thanks if you watched. I’m AVAILABLE NOW! Hire me for your TV story!!”
The show aired for 14 episodes over its two seasons, starting in December 2022. It followed the story of Owen Hendricks, played by Noah Centineo, a CIA lawyer who gets tangled up in high-stakes international drama after an asset threatens to reveal her connection to the agency.
Other cast members included Aarti Mann, Fivel Stewart, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Kaylah Zander, Kristian Bruun, Angel Parker, and Jesse Collin. The series was created by Alexi Hawley, who was also the showrunner and executive producer. It was produced by Hypnotic and Lionsgate for Netflix, with several notable executive producers contributing to the project.
Despite its cancellation, the second season made a notable impact when it premiered. According to reports, it garnered 5.9 million views within the first four days on Netflix, ranking second on the English-language TV chart, just behind “The Night Agent” Season 2.
