Exciting New Features: Windows 11 Updates KB5055523 & KB5055528 Now Available!

Windows 11

Microsoft has rolled out two important updates for Windows 11: KB5055523 and KB5055528. These updates address security flaws and improve the system’s performance.

These updates are crucial because they include the April 2025 security patches. These patches fix vulnerabilities found in earlier builds. So, it’s important to keep your system up to date.

To install the updates, just follow these steps: Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update, then click ‘Check for Updates’. You can also find the updates on the Microsoft Update Catalog.

The latest security updates bring some exciting new features, especially for Copilot+ PCs. After installation, the build numbers will change: 24H2 will now be Build 26100.3775 and 23H2 will be Build 226×1.5191.

Here’s what’s new in this Patch Tuesday update:

  • Improved Windows Search: Searching for files, documents, and settings is much easier with enhanced search capabilities. You can now type natural phrases and get relevant results, thanks to better indexing technologies.
  • Photo Search: Locating photos is simpler. Type phrases like “summer photos” in File Explorer’s search box, and it will find pictures stored both on your device and in the cloud.
  • Touch Keyboard Updates: A new gamepad keyboard layout has been added for easier navigation with touch controls. This layout includes button shortcuts for common actions.
  • Live Captions: Improved real-time captions now support translations for over 44 languages during video calls, making communication easier.
  • Voice Access: You can now give natural voice commands, making it simpler to navigate through Windows.

According to a recent survey by Statista, about 75% of Windows users plan to update when new features are released. This shows a strong user engagement with Microsoft’s updates.

However, not everything is fixed yet. Some users are still facing issues, like problems with Roblox on ARM PCs and persistent errors regarding SgrmBroker.exe. Microsoft is aware of these ongoing problems and plans to address them in future updates.

With these updates, Microsoft aims to enhance user experience and address security vulnerabilities effectively. Staying updated helps in ensuring your system runs smoothly and securely.
