Ubisoft has shared exciting news about the post-launch plans for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Players can look forward to regular updates that will include new story missions, features requested by fans, and a New Game Plus mode.

These new story missions will be free updates, bringing fresh allies, abilities, and activities to enhance the game’s world. Ubisoft promises that these additions will delve deeper into the characters’ backstories, influencing the main narrative. The first mission features Luis Frois, a historical figure, and is set to arrive in early May.

In addition to story content, upcoming free updates will introduce new difficulty settings, improvements to the photo mode, extra parkour options, and Codex updates. Ubisoft hinted at "special collaborations," possibly reviving the crossover elements fans enjoyed in previous games, like when Chocobo appeared in Origins.

There’s also a planned major expansion titled Claws of Awaji, which will follow Naoe and Yasuke after the main story concludes. Although a release date hasn’t been announced, it’s expected later this year for players who pre-ordered the game.
