Aaron Paul Relocates Family to Paris for a Fresh Start After Los Angeles Wildfires

Aaron Paul has swapped Los Angeles for Paris as he seeks a fresh start with his family. The “Breaking Bad” star and his wife, Lauren, recently left Hollywood behind after the wildfires that swept through the region earlier this year.

In an interview, Paul shared, “When the fires happened in L.A., we just knew that we were done with L.A. So we sold our house and moved to Paris.” This decision was not solely about escaping danger; it was also about giving their children, Story Annabelle and Ryden Caspian, a chance to experience a new culture.

Paul reminiscenced about his love for Paris, where he proposed to Lauren in 2012 and where they held their wedding a year later. “Paris is awesome,” he said with a smile, even if his French is limited to just “bonjour.”

They are not alone in their decision to leave Los Angeles. The wildfires of 2025 affected many, displacing celebrities like Paris Hilton, Heidi Klum, and Anthony Hopkins.

Wildfires have been on the rise in California, with statistics showing about 202,500 acres burned in the state in 2021 alone, compared to just over 80,000 in 2020. This worrying trend is often linked to climate change, which has raised awareness about the need for better fire management practices.

Paul’s move to Paris highlights a shift among many families seeking safer environments and different cultural experiences. As urban areas face increasing natural disasters, some might consider more stable places to raise their children.
