Ajit Doval Issues Bold Challenge to Foreign Media: ‘Prove Indian Losses in Pakistani Attacks with Just One Photo’

Chennai/Hyderabad, July 11, 2025 – National Security Advisor Ajit Doval strongly refuted claims from foreign media that India faced losses during recent attacks from Pakistan. Speaking at IIT Madras’s 62nd convocation, he challenged critics to show any evidence of damage on Indian soil, asserting that none exists due to India’s successful military response.

Doval shared the details of Operation Sindoor, where Indian forces targeted and destroyed 30 Pakistani air bases, all thanks to precise intelligence on terrorist camps nearby. He noted that only images of 13 destroyed bases in Pakistan have emerged, emphasizing, “Not one credible photo shows any losses for India.”

He also praised India’s air defense system. Recent reports show that the S-400 missed no incoming threats, successfully intercepting all Fateh-11 ballistic missiles aimed at Delhi. “We neutralized nine enemy targets in just 23 minutes. This is the strength of modern India,” he said.

Doval highlighted the government’s push for Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) in defense manufacturing. This initiative aims to develop homegrown military technologies, reducing dependency on foreign imports. “We are enhancing our capabilities to ensure swift and independent responses to any challenges,” he added.

Moreover, Doval criticized foreign media for spreading misinformation and undermining India’s strategic strengths, urging them to act responsibly. His remarks come in a time of heightened tensions with Pakistan, underlining the importance of accurate information.

Interestingly, a recent survey showed that 72% of Indians believe in strengthening the country’s defense capabilities through indigenous technology. This sentiment aligns with Doval’s comments and highlights a shift in national priorities toward self-reliance.

Around the world, similar narratives are emerging. Countries focusing on military independence reflect a growing trend where governments prioritize local manufacturing over foreign reliance. This pivot not only affects military capabilities but also economic stability.

In light of ongoing military developments, it’s essential to engage critically with information and leverage local strengths for defense needs. As India moves forward, its emphasis on self-reliance may play a crucial role in shaping future security policies.
