The Indian Railways is making travel more comfortable by increasing the seating capacity on the popular Vande Bharat Express trains. Recently, the 42nd Vande Bharat Express was launched, connecting Ahmedabad and Mumbai Central. With growing passenger demand, Western Railway announced that from January 26 to March 7, 2026, the train will temporarily add four AC chair car coaches. This change will boost the train’s capacity by 278 seats, allowing more travelers to enjoy a seamless journey.
The train runs daily except Sundays, covering a distance of 491 kilometers in just 5 hours and 40 minutes. Along the way, it stops at four key stations: Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, and Borivali.
