Deceuninck will end its title sponsorship of the Alpecin-Deceuninck cycling team at the close of 2025. This news puts team boss Christoph Roodhooft in search of a new sponsor. The Belgian firm, known for PVC windows and doors, began its partnership with Roodhooft’s team in early 2022. Before this, they sponsored the Quick-Step team for three years.

Under Deceuninck’s support, Alpecin-Deceuninck has become a leading sprint team. They have excelled thanks to Mathieu van der Poel’s impressive lead-outs and Jasper Philipsen’s remarkable speed in finishing sprints.
Philipsen has achieved nine stage wins at the Tour de France and secured the green jersey during this period. Meanwhile, Van der Poel earned the title of world champion in 2023, further solidifying his legacy as a top competitor.
The decision to end the sponsorship is framed as a natural step after a successful partnership. Francis Van Eeckhout, Deceuninck’s executive chairman, stated in a press release that the collaboration has boosted the company’s brand awareness. He mentioned that both parties agreed it might be better to explore different types of collaboration moving forward.
While losing a primary sponsor brings uncertainty, General Manager Philip Roodhooft is determined to find a new partner. He acknowledged the challenges ahead but emphasized gratitude for Deceuninck’s contributions. The team is actively seeking a strong new sponsor to continue their success in the future.
