Amazon One Medical Launches Its First Northeast Ohio Primary Care Office in Collaboration with Cleveland Clinic

Amazon One Medical and Cleveland Clinic are teaming up to boost primary care in Northeast Ohio. They just opened their first office in Avon, located at 36040 Detroit Road, Suite A. This move aims to improve access to healthcare for local residents.

Dr. Pooja Kamath, Medical Director of Cleveland Offices for One Medical, shared, “Primary care is crucial for a healthier life. By preventing health issues early on, we can enhance lives. I’m eager for our partnership to benefit the community.”

The Avon office offers a range of services, from preventive screenings to chronic condition management, like diabetes and hypertension. It’s designed to be a welcoming space, complete with on-site lab services and easy appointment scheduling. Same-day appointments ensure that immediate health concerns, such as colds and flu, are addressed quickly.

Collaboration between One Medical and Cleveland Clinic means patients can enjoy smoother access to coordinated care. One Medical’s model focuses on in-person and virtual visits, while Cleveland Clinic provides a network of specialists and high-quality facilities. A second office is set to open in Shaker Heights by January 2026, further expanding options for residents.

Dr. James Gutierrez, Chief of Cleveland Clinic’s Primary Care Institute, emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare. “This new location reinforces primary care options and complements Cleveland Clinic’s specialty services,” he noted.

While you don’t have to be a member to use their services, One Medical offers a membership for Amazon Prime users. For $9 a month or $99 a year, members gain access to 24/7 virtual care, which covers common issues like allergies and skin conditions. Most major insurance plans are accepted for in-person visits too.

One Medical also collaborates with over 10,000 employers across the U.S., allowing more employees to benefit from its services. With over twenty offices nationwide, maintaining health while traveling becomes easier.

A recent report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) highlights the increasing need for primary care services, showing a significant rise in chronic conditions in the U.S. This expansion in Northeast Ohio is a timely response to that growing demand, making healthcare more accessible than ever.
