LEAWOOD, Kan., February 14, 2025 — AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AMC), the world’s largest movie theater chain, has announced that Kevin Connor, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, will retire on March 13, 2025. Connor has been with AMC for 23 years and has significantly shaped the company during his time there. He will be succeeded by Edwin (Eddie) Gladbach, who currently serves as Vice President of Legal and will take on the role of Interim General Counsel.
Connor joined AMC in 2002 and was instrumental in many key developments, including the merger with Loews Cineplex in 2006 and the company’s public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in 2013. Over the years, he oversaw major acquisitions like ODEON/UCI Cinemas and was critical in navigating the company’s recovery after the pandemic.
Gladbach, who has been with AMC since 2009, is among those considered for the full-time General Counsel role. AMC will look at both internal and external candidates for the position later this year.
Adam Aron, Chairman and CEO of AMC, expressed gratitude to Connor, stating, “Kevin has dedicated over two decades to helping AMC grow stronger. His leadership has made a noticeable difference, and we wish him all the best in his retirement. We’re confident in Eddie Gladbach’s ability to lead our Legal Department in the interim.”
