AMD recently wowed tech enthusiasts at its AI PC Innovation Summit in Beijing. The company’s CEO, Lisa Su, and other leaders presented their latest innovations, with a strong focus on AI technologies. This is a significant trend in tech, as AI is increasingly shaping our digital experiences.

Interestingly, AMD isn’t the only company fishing for tech attention; NVIDIA claims its RTX 50 series GPUs are flying off the shelves too, with double the shipments compared to its previous RTX 40 series over the first five weeks. However, the figures from NVIDIA were vague, which makes direct comparisons challenging.
As we look ahead, supply chains are expected to stabilize, providing better availability in the coming weeks. Though both AMD and NVIDIA partners have been increasing prices. For example, Acer has launched its RX 9070 series Nitro RX 9070 XT OC edition for $829, and ASUS has priced select editions of the RTX 50 and RX 9070 series GPUs at more than 1.5 times their original prices.
According to a recent survey by J.D. Power, about 30% of consumers are interested in GPUs for gaming and content creation, underscoring the strong market demand. With gaming continuously evolving and AI becoming more integrated into applications, the competition between AMD and NVIDIA is heating up.
