Hello Atlanta Falcons Fans and Community,
I want to take a moment to acknowledge the frustration surrounding our team’s recent seasons. I feel the weight of that disappointment. As the owner, the accountability rests squarely with me. We all want this team to compete at a high level, and I share your concerns.
Your commitment to the Falcons means everything. Week in and week out, you bring your passion, time, and resources. You deserve a team that consistently aims for championships, and we haven’t lived up to that expectation lately. To honor your dedication, we are taking decisive steps to move forward.
Over the last couple of months, we’ve partnered with the Sportsology Group to thoroughly assess our football operations. We recognize that changes are essential to reach our goals, and we will indeed be making significant shifts. A new head coach and general manager will join us in 2026, but this is just the beginning of our journey.
Our review looked at everything: how we make football decisions, our internal structure, and communication. Here’s what we’re doing next:
- We’re actively searching for a new head coach and general manager with the help of ZRG Partners and Sportsology Group. We want to find leaders who understand the current landscape of the NFL and where it’s heading.
- We’ll appoint a new president of football from outside the organization. This person will shape our team’s vision. Both the new head coach and general manager will report to them, creating a collaborative leadership environment.
- In a recent move, Greg Beadles is stepping up as the president and CEO of the Falcons, succeeding Rich McKay. He will oversee business operations and work closely with the new president of football to align our goals.
- As we move forward, the president of football, along with Greg and our new leaders, will identify areas needing improvement in our operations.
- Rich McKay will focus on broader initiatives within Arthur M. Blank Sports and Entertainment, including major upcoming events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the NFL’s Super Bowl in 2028 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
I understand that trust is built through action. Our focus from here on out is clear: to build a team capable of sustained success and to compete for championships. We’re eager to fill these key roles with talented individuals who can lead us back to where we want to be.
Atlanta is a proud football city, and I take that responsibility very seriously. Even though we’re not playoff-bound this year, I believe we have a strong roster of veterans and promising young players. These factors will attract top talent to our open positions.
Thank you for your unwavering support. I genuinely appreciate your loyalty and patience as we navigate these changes. We are committed to making the right choices for our community and team. You all deserve nothing less than the best.
Thank you for being a part of our journey. Together, we will strive to reclaim our place as a competitive force.
