ISHPEMING, Mich. — The West End Health Foundation is back with its fall grants to promote wellness in Marquette County. They have a total of $50,000 available for nonprofits dedicated to improving the health and wellness of local residents. Each organization can apply for grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.

In addition, there’s a new grant cycle—the 2025 Fall Proactive Grant—which focuses on food security. Board member Kori Bjorne highlighted the importance of this initiative. “We want to make healthy food accessible,” she said. This includes fresh fruits and vegetables, especially for seniors who find it hard to get to the grocery store, and providing meals for students during the weekends and summer breaks.
