Arkansas State Police Capture Suspect Linked to Double Homicide at Devil’s Den State Park

Arkansas State Police have arrested a suspect in a tragic double homicide that occurred at Devil’s Den State Park during a family hike. James Andrew McGann, 28, from Springdale, faces two counts of capital murder.

Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were found dead on Saturday while out with their daughters, aged 7 and 9. Thankfully, the girls were uninjured and are now with family.

Details about the attack are still unclear. At this time, police haven’t released a potential motive or further information about the suspect’s court appearance.

The couple had recently moved from South Dakota. Clinton Brink was set to start a new job delivering milk in Fayetteville shortly after the incident. The Brink family released a statement honoring Clinton and Cristen as heroes who protected their daughters.

Devil’s Den State Park is known for its scenic beauty and hiking trails. It’s located near West Fork, about 136 miles northwest of Little Rock. As of now, trails in the park are closed while the investigation continues.
