T-Mobile is notifying some of its long-time customers about an upcoming price hike. Starting April 2nd, certain legacy plan users will see a $5 increase on their monthly bills. This news comes from reports and discussions among users on Reddit.
According to an internal memo shared by CNET, T-Mobile’s consumer group president, Jon Freier, explained that this adjustment is necessary due to rising business costs. He mentioned that customers will be informed by the end of the day.
While the details remain unclear, reports suggest that plans like Go5G, Go5G Plus, and Go5G Next will not be affected by this price change. Last year, T-Mobile also raised the rates on some legacy plans, with increases ranging from $2 to $5. Freier reassured that those who experienced a prior increase won’t see another one.
T-Mobile responded to customer concerns on X, stating, “Most customers are not included” in these adjustments, which finalize changes that began last year. They emphasized a commitment to low prices and value across all their plans. Notably, customers under Price Lock will not feel the impact of these new changes.
