Aubrey Plaza Steps into the Spotlight as Heidi Fleiss in Exciting New Biopic from Pinky Promise!

Aubrey Plaza is gearing up for an exciting new role. She will star in and produce “The Heidi Fleiss Story,” bringing the tale of the infamous Hollywood madam to life. Fleiss was known in the early ’90s for running a high-end prostitution ring that connected to numerous celebrities and political figures.

This film marks Leah Rachel’s directorial debut. Rachel is best known for her work on Netflix’s “Chambers.” The project comes from Pinky Promise, a production company helmed by Jessamine Burgum and Kara Durrett.

Co-written by Gen Z favorite Racel Sennott, the script dives into Fleiss’s life before her trial. It follows her frantic attempts to manipulate connections in Los Angeles to avoid legal trouble, aided by a young aspiring writer, Jaclyn.

Filming will take place in Los Angeles later this year, with Plaza producing through her company, Evil Hag.

Plaza has been busy with other projects. She recently starred in Ethan Coen’s “Honey Don’t,” alongside Chris Evans and Margaret Qualley. She’s also featured in Francis Ford Coppola’s upcoming film, “Megalopolis,” and has a role in “The Accompanist,” Zack Woods’ directorial debut.

Pinky Promise has made quite an impact in just five years, producing acclaimed indie films like “Bird” and “Honk for Jesus, Save Your Soul.” They’re currently working on “Wishful Thinking,” a quirky romantic comedy, and will soon release Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut, “Eleanor the Great.”

Fleiss’s story is not just about a scandal but touches on larger themes of power dynamics and societal norms. With Plaza’s unique style and the team’s fresh perspective, viewers can expect a thought-provoking look at this captivating figure.
