Auburn, Alabama — Auburn Football recently shared its schedule for the 2026 season, which promises some exciting matchups. The lineup features six home games at Jordan-Hare Stadium, including appearances by LSU and Florida.
Here’s a quick glance at the home games:
- Southern Miss (Sept. 12)
- Florida (Sept. 19)
- Vanderbilt (Sept. 26)
- LSU (Oct. 24)
- Arkansas (Nov. 7)
- Samford (Nov. 21)
This season marks the debut of new head coach Alex Golesh at Jordan-Hare when they face Southern Miss. Notably, the Gators will visit Auburn for the first time since 2011.
The Tigers kick off their season on Sept. 5 against Baylor at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, bringing them back to Atlanta for the Aflac Kickoff Game.
Auburn will also hit the road for several SEC games, facing tough opponents like Tennessee, Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and their rival Alabama at the end of the season.
In 2026, the SEC will implement a new schedule format where schools will play nine league games. Each team must also schedule a strong non-conference game against a top program from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, or Notre Dame. This setup ensures that teams will face every SEC opponent at least once every two years.
The regular season wraps up with the SEC Championship Game, which will be broadcast live on ABC on Dec. 5, 2026.
Auburn has also lined up several non-conference games in the coming years:
- 2027: Home games against MTSU and Austin Peay, plus a road game at Notre Dame.
- 2028: Home games with Georgia Southern, Notre Dame, and North Alabama.
- 2029: A season opener at Miami (Fla.) and games against Jacksonville State and West Georgia.
- 2030: Miami (Fla.) visits on Aug. 31.
- 2031: A first-time matchup with in-state rival Troy.
- 2032: North Alabama returns to Jordan-Hare.
It’s worth noting that a previously announced game with Missouri State in 2027 will no longer take place.
As the anticipation builds for Auburn’s 2026 season, fans are eager to see how this new chapter unfolds under Coach Golesh. Keeping up with trends in college football, ticket sales for Auburn games are already strong, reflecting the team’s popularity and the excitement surrounding upcoming seasons.
